Patrick J. Honan

From when I was a child going to the Hershkoviches in des plaines for the Jewish holidays, or any family gatherings or celebration, the Honans were there too. My earliest memories of Pat were always how respectful he was to everyone, a good firm handshake, and he just looked like a really good father. Not to discount the fact that he and Alicia had a beautiful and caring marriage, but from a kid’s point of view, it was a memory that wont be forgotten. Even though years had passed since I’d seen him last, his memory will not be forgotten. Alicia, Sarah, and Sam, my deepest condolences to all of you. He will truly be missed.

The many times I saw Patrick and Alicia I was always reminded of what a perfect marriage should look like. He was always happy, conversational and a terrific guy. One time, at their home many years ago, I remember the first hair-cutting of Sam…Patrick and I chatted for most of the ceremony, and he left an indelible memory of his laid-back nature. Since we only recently reconnected, I feel such loss that I couldn’t see him before this. He was truly a wonderful man…I pray for our family, and that they find peace and solace…

I’ve known Pat for many years.
We grew up blocks from each other.
Lots of fun and good times.
I was at Pat and Alicia’s wedding.
And Alicia became a friend too.

I would to express my most sincere condolences. I met Pat many years through several others friends for many years. We did many a summer trip to Ron’s lodge on the boundary waters. Many memories. May he R.I.P.
