Caren and I send our deepest condolences on Bill’s passing. He was bright, an accomplished pianist, a well-respected regulatory lawyer, and for many years an avid golfer with whom I had the privilege of playing every Sunday morning in season. Bill was fun, gracious, and caring. He was devoted to his family. He was class personified. I will miss him.

Bill was so good to me, kind, a compassionate listener who radiated generosity. He even arranged a job talk for my son with a friend of his in California soon after Isaac had passed the bar there. A fine fine person, an infectious grin, something of the country boy in him.

Bill was a lovely human being. A delight to be around. Playing tennis with him, listening to him play jazz on the piano, just conversing — all of these were pleasures. In a low-key way, he radiated warmth, good will, and wry humor. He enhanced our life, and Camille and I will miss him.
