With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Felicia Lerner (nee’ Silver); devoted wife of the late Harold “Hal”; treasured mother of Avery (Lisa), Randie (Edward) Chubin, Stephanie and former mother in-law of Scott Ernsteen; much loved sister of Sharon Krivitzky (Charles Schuster) and sister-in-law of the late Ken Krivitzky; loving Bubbie of Hayley and Devyn Lerner, Josh, Evan, Ilyssa and Elita Ernsteen; and Margie (Andrew Strauss), Jem and Mollie Chubin; adored aunt of Jon (Qudsia Sethi) Krivitzky and Carrie (Todd) Cohan; beloved daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Silver. Memorial donations in Felicia’s honor may be made to Hadassah, March of Dimes, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, ORT, or Planned Parenthood. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Charlene Stern

She was a wonderful older cousin, with the best smile and hug when she saw me. My beloved parents, Ben and Helen Stern loved her so much as well. She was a girl playing under the kitchen table when her parents suddenly jumped up screaming and crying. Felicia was scared and was told they had found my Mother’s z’’l name printed on a survivor page of the Yiddish Foward, a newspaper all in Yiddish. It is because her parent read the Yiddish paper that they leaned my my Mother’s survival. Felicia’s parents, Rachel & Chile sponsored my parents to come to America. And so began the history of the Stern family in America. I will always be grateful for this moment and the kindness given to my parents. Love, Couisina Charlene
