Obituary

Bonnie Forkosh nee Shapiro, 82; loving mother of Margot (Glenn) Ettlinger and Elyse Forkosh Cutler (David Cutler); adoring Grandma Bonnie of Yair, Matan and Meital Atlas, Hannah and Samuel Cutler; beloved companion of Richard Cohen; treasured cousin of George Becker, Judy Labensohn, Emmie Donadio and James Stonehill. Bonnie was an avid reader and an avid gardener,devoted to the performing arts and had a special love for classical music. As a proud Northwestern alumna, she frequently attended performances at the university. Bonnie was an active and respected member of JRC Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation since 1979. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Chapel service Wednesday, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Cousin Bonnie was my only female cousin on my mother’s side. She was my 2nd older sister and I always loved driving from Cleveland to Chicago to visit her and her parents when I was a child. Visits continued through Evanston and Mather. Bonnie was always caring and curious, enthusiastic and encouraging. I will miss her spirit, kindness and positive outlook. I am grateful for having shared so many years together, even when an ocean separated us. Now Bonnie is united with her loving parents. ברוך דיין אמת

Aunt Bonnie was a beautiful, kind hearted woman.
She always was very present when we were together…walking around Northwestern or eating BBQ from a hip new place in Chicago Her memory will always bring a smile to my face and a sunrise in my heart.
