I remember 50 years ago walking through the Charles-de-Gaulle airport in Paris and coming across Betty. It was a very random event which caught us both by surprise. Even though we had only met a few times she was very warm and friendly. I will never forget.

Betty was one amazing woman! We had the pleasure of spending wonderful dinners together whenever we visited Chicago . We had the best time when our families went to Cabo for Betty’s 95th andd our Mom’s 90th Birthday. Betty was always laughing and smiling and so easy going.
Betty was just such a pleasure to be around. No doubt she is smiling now.
Our family will miss her so much, Betty was a bright light to all.

We loved this woman who we always called “Grandma Betty.” She and I had a special bond as I was born on the exact day in 1949 when she and Al got married. Only I came first, by 3 hours.
Betty attended every one of our family events – 3 Weddings, 2 Bris (one 40 years ago, one 7 years ago) 1 B’Nai Mitzvah, yearly Father’s Day Gatherings, multiple Birthdays and many other events. Grandma Betty was always warm, caring and loving toward our entire family. Up to the end, she would still ask about the grandchildren and enjoy the photos.
Grandma Betty will be missed by all of us, but always remembered fondly.
