Obituary
Mildred Bender, nee Garfinkle, passed away just shy of her 94th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Philip; devoted mother of Donna Bender (Gary Palm) and Ellen (Scott) Chukerman; adored and adoring “Bubster” of Benjamin (Laura) Chukerman and William (Jennifer) Chukerman; proud great-grandmother of Lilah; caring daughter of the late Abraham and Rose Garfinkle. Mildred was born and raised on the Great West Side of Chicago. Known for her sweet nature, she faced life’s challenges with great strength, always drawing on her love for family. She treasured spending time with her grandsons and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank JourneyCare Hospice and Warren Barr Highland Park for their care and compassion.
