Dear Donna, S o very sorry for your loss. Jean and Mort were neighbors and good friends. Mort hired my late husband right after he graduated and Jerry hired Mort in later years when he had his own company. I have known “Jeannie” Schur since I was a child. I was close friends with her daughter Linda, who was taken way too soon. My mom and Jeannie taught Sunday school together at Northshore Congregation Israel temple in Glencoe for many years. When my mom passed away in 2010, she came to mom’s house during Shiva and was there for me. I will always remember her fondly and feel blessed to have known her.
