Greta Ellen Greene, age 95 of Highland Park, Illinois passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of family. She lived a life full of love, resilience, and adored her family. She is survived by her 6 children: Larry (Sue) Ellen, Marty Ellen (Robin), Andrea Ellen (Kevin), Howard (Betsy) Ellen, Sandy (Neil) Serbin, and Ruth (Owen) Stern. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy into her life. Greta is preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca and Abraham Dolinko, her adored brother Bernard Dolinko, and her late husbands Jerome Ellen and Samuel Greene. She leaves behind a legacy of love, determination, and wisdom. Having such a large family, Greta never forgot a birthday, anniversary or even one’s phone number! She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Chapel service Tuesday, July 1, 2025, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
