Morton Schreiber DDS

Dr. Schreiber was my dentist from my age of 6. He was a wonderful man. In addition, he was my mother’s dentist into her 90’s. He was special to our family.
May his memory be forever a blessing.

We were Dr. Schreiber’s dental patients starting in 1986 until his retirement. Along with being an excellent dentist, he was such a kind and caring “mensch”. A Ravinia season ago, he noticed my husband, Alan, and stopped to talk to us, asking about what we were doing in retirement and how our grown children and their families were. We remember him fondly for his intelligence, dignity, compassion, and wonderful sense of humor. Our condolences to his family. Zichrono livrakha.

When did anyone look forward to visiting the dentist? In my case, when that dentist was Mort, one of the nicest, friendliest and sweetest people I’ve been fortunate to know. It’s very hard to talk with your mouth full of tools, but somehow we managed conversations (when he let me) and we caught up on news, family and tennis. We even played once – he invited me to the East Bank Club – and he whipped my butt. That was still better than being in the chair, and I’ll always remember the experience and Mort with fondness Condolences to Mort’s family. May his memory be for a blessing and may he find aces and forehand winners forever.

Dr Schreiber was my first Dental Hygiene job.He had a fabulous practice with the best patients.I still have the beautiful Lalique bottle of perfume he brought me from his trip to Paris.My condolences to Marianne and the kids and grandkids.
