Bernie was a friend for more years than I can Remember. From our Army experience to the apartments on Reba Place to the law.
Bernie was a star at them all….well maybe not the best soldier but pretty good. Our times together always left me richer in wisdom and very proud to have such a mensch as a friend. Our Saturday tennis matches were epic…but that was Bernie.
Your race is run and you are a winner in every way….good job!

Rest in peace, Bernie. Rich and I worked together for 35 years, and as a result, I had the pleasure of meeting you early on and remaining friends with you and your family over the course of all of that time. We shared weddings, two bar mitzvahs, many family birthdays, a few away games at NYU and one funeral. Your love of your family and your caring for others is something that is far too rare today and you will be sorely missed. We had a lot of fun conversations and laughs and I always appreciated that you had those great Chicago Bulls tickets for so many years, when they were in their prime, thank you!
Your legacy will be the extended family you (and Barbara) leave behind and for that you should be extremely proud, as they all now carry on with all of the life lessons you both instilled in them.
I am very happy to have known you and counted you as a dear friend. I will miss you but please know that you will never be forgotten…Godspeed!
