Lawrence A. “Larry” Lipkowitz, 72. Beloved husband and best friend for 45 years of Nancy, nee Pivar; devoted father of Jeffrey Lipkowitz (Alexandra Lelchuk), Joel (Shirel) Lipkowitz, and Michael Lipkowitz; proud grandfather of Ella, Maya, Jacob, Joshua, Noam Ovadia, and Emunah Hodaya; dear brother of Susan (George) Welton, Gary and Robin Lipkowitz. Larry loved being a firefighter for Skokie, Buffalo Grove, and Long Grove and loved being a school bus driver. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Wellness Center, www.cancerwellness.org. Chapel service Sunday, September 28, 12:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
