Obituary

Lee Goldstein nee Zeid, 93, passed away on September 2. She was the beloved wife of the late Abe for 62 years; loving mother of the late Jay (Marc Matlin); Berton (Barbara); Gary (Marla); and Ken (Karen); cherished grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of sixteen. Lee was the devoted daughter of Harry and Anna Zeid; sister of the late Ruthe (the late Jack) Stricker, and Estelle (the late Howard) Samotny; dear sister-in-law of the late Marilyn (the late Rocky) Katzenberg; much-loved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and treasured friend to many.

Lee adored spending time with her family and looked forward to attending the many gatherings of her extended family, the Ruchel Isaac Cousins Club. Lee enjoyed entertaining in her home and prepared delicious dinners for family and friends. Her tzimmes, kugels, and Passover bulkies were legendary. She had a joyful spirit and made friends wherever she went. Lee became a Bat Mitzvah as an adult, loved to play golf, work on puzzles, travel and needlepoint, but she was happiest when she and Abe were together. Special thanks to Joy, Maria and the wonderful caregivers who assisted Lee.
