Obituary
Martin “Mike” Weintraub, 97. Beloved husband for 67 years to the late Dorothy; devoted father of Gary Weintraub (Paula Sauer) and Neil Weintraub (Iris Kapp); cherished grandfather of Stefanie (Michael) Mandelberg, Marla (Andrew) Conti, Ashley Weintraub, and Mariah Weintraub; proud great-grandfather of Miles, Kaia, and Maxwell; fond brother of the late Gloria (the late Bernard) Pinkus and Irving Weintraub; dear friend of many. Mike was a treasured business owner on the West Side of Chicago and then enjoyed a very long retirement. He loved to travel, visit friends, and go antique hunting. He was a proud Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. Mike and Dorothy were beautiful people, kind, caring and wonderful neighbors. Mike loved when I made mandel bread and Dorothy always said he ate too much. I have been in Canada for the past few weeks but before I left Monica told me Mike would probably not live for 2 weeks. My sincere sympathy to Neil, Gary and your wives. You took beyond good care of your dad and I know it was not easy as he was very proud and wanted to not bother you. May his memory be a blessing. Joyce Friedman
