Aunt Marge was dearly loved by all so fortunate, as I was, to know her. She was truly the life and joy of every party and, had the most melodious voice and most delightful laughter ever. Her genuine love, remarkable legacy and beautiful memory shall always be a blessing.

Marge was like a second mother to me after the passing of my dear mother, Elaine. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and singing will always be in my heart. Marge’s stories of the old neighborhood were a source of joy and comfort. She will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever hold a special place in my heart. My heartfelt condolences go out to Richard, Robert, Elise, and Daniel during this difficult time.
Love to all,

I will never forget the day I met Margie. It was the day that I immigrated to the US in March of 1974. I was standing in the kitchen of Susan and David Lincoln’s house, jet lagged from the flight from London, when Margie came swooping in like a hurricane and, without a by-your-leave, enveloped me in the biggest hug. I couldn’t help but think, “if the English woman is behaving like this, what are the Americans going to be like?”
For the past 50+ years, she was my dear friend, sounding board and inspiration.
After Margie was no longer able to independently make or receive phone calls, her sweet son, Daniel, would call me when he visited her so we could chat. Eventually, chatting on the phone became too much for her, and, each time we spoke, I would try to come up with a song that we could sing together. During our last conversation, at Daniel’s suggestion, fittingly, she sang the Hatikvah, a song of hope, all by herself from beginning to end.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories. May you rest in peace, dear friend.

Margie and my late father Max were extremely close as kids.
Margie grew up in Manchester, UK, and emigrated at the age of 16.
When my father received a letter 16years later to tell him that she was visiting the UK, my dad went giddy. My late mother ( who had not heard previously about Margie thought dad had gone off his rocker.
What transpired thereafter was a beautiful bonding and friendship that endured right up until unfortunately, all passed away.
I saw Margie and family at regular intervals over the years, both here and in the USA, and she was lively, zany company whose personality literally filled the room- she had great stage presence – and the most infectious laugh. I really enjoyed winding her up.
Ginnie, her late mum was also a great lovely character whom the younger family here came to know and love.
To me, it’s the end of an era.
Chaim Oruchim (Long Life) to the entire family.
Shalom Margie.

I’ll always remember Margie as having the biggest smile and the heartiest laugh. She welcomed my brothers and I into Koerper Ct. when we were kids and made us feel right at home. A vivacious, inquisitive lady who always showed an interest in my life. She was often the life of the party at family reunions, and, as I recall, had a lovely singing voice to go with her erudite English lilt and razor sharp wit. My deepest condolences to Rich, Rob, Elise, Daniel and all who loved and respected her.
I will miss you, Cousin Margie. I’m richer for having known you.

My fondest memory as a little girl with Aunt Marge is when I stayed the weekend and she took me to hair salon and I got a perm. I felt so grown up.
I always remember her singing. How she loved my dad Bill Gallant. They both had a special bond. ❤️
