My mother’s most precious gift to me was the gift of music. She loved to sing and we loved to hear her sing. Mother and I for many years sang together in the Beth Israel synagogue choir and we enjoyed this very much! The other great gift she gave me was the love of playing the piano. From the age of 2, mother would place me on the piano bench next to her and teach me simple songs like twinkle twinkle little star, buy a broom and many others. I was enthralled and couldn’t get enough. By age 6 she enrolled me in piano lessons which I continued for many years even into adult hood. I will always have the gift of music to comfort me thanks to the devotion of my dear mother to my musical development. She always sang Happy Birthday to us every year and I will miss this greatly! The pain of loosing you is great Mother, but I am happy that you are at peace and not in pain anymore. I hope you are hiking and singing somewhere beautfiul!!! I hope someday we will be together again!

June and I have been friends for over 40 years. She and Bob were our back yard neighbors when they first moved to Boulder. Sam was in High School.
A few memories:
Sam took her car from our driveway without telling his Mom. Quite the uproar.
June taught me a lot about her faith. They invited our family to join them for a Hanukkah party. Our kids had a blast. And a Passover celebration, so interesting.
I had the privilege to meet her Mother , all of her children and grandchildren and sisters.
I have June on speed dial on my phone. I will truely miss our conversations. She was a dear friend and will be missed.
