Obituary

Lynne Foerster (née Mandelson), age 63; beloved wife of the late Norman Foerster; cherished mother of Randy Callsen; and devoted daughter of the late Sol and Barbara Mandelson. Lynne was the adored sister of Robin (Mike) Nasatir and Sue Cohn (Scott Weinstein and the late Gary Cohn). She was a loving aunt to Mallory (Danny) Stewart, Victoria Nasatir (fiancé Anthony Thomas), Michelle Cohn Levy (Seth Levy), Stephanie Cohn, and Brett Weinstein; and great-aunt to Ziva, Maya, Lila, and Janessa. She was also a treasured cousin and friend to many, whose lives were enriched by her presence. Lynne was a gifted artist with a unique talent for capturing people’s essence in her sketches and portraits. often doodling while sitting across from you and then presenting you with an amazing portrait of yourself. Her passion for creativity was matched only by her devotion to her family, who brought her the greatest joy. Lynne’s warmth, humor, and artistry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Chapel service Friday, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. We are deeply saddened to hear that Aunt Lynne has passed away.
We find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with Uncle Norman and at peace.

I can’t remember a time in my life that I didn’t know Lynne. She babysat my sisters and I when we were younger and then we went on to perform in several stage productions together. Lynne was so much fun on stage. She had great comedic timing and knew how to pull the audiences attention. Her energy and dedication to her art, family, performances, work and her friends made her one of the most loyal people I know.
Lynne’s smile personified JOY. And you could see that joy whenever she spoke of her family. She deeply loved her sisters, was bursting with pride for her son and loved being an Aunt. She is a beautiful soul that will be deeply missed.
