I remember Sandy‘s hardy laugh. It was a contagious, fun laugh. I loved the way she brought baby chicks into her classroom and they hatched. All the first graders were intrigued. She was a lovely, lovely lady. I’m so glad I had a chance to be her friend. May her memory be a blessing to all of us.

Sandy was a good friend and colleague to all at Hillel Torah. She was an outstanding teacher who gave so much to her students. Thought of her recently and wanted to get in touch. So sorry for your loss. She loved her family.?

Sandy was a wonderful cherished member of our Writing Group who bonded in a sisterhood sharing stories of our lives, families and experiences. She was so warm, open and caring to all. We felt her pain when Paul suffered his seizure at an event and then slowly recuperated. She was so grateful to the people who were nearby who assisted him. She could express her fears, anxieties and pleasures with our group as we all received tremendous support in our needs.
My sincerest condolences to Paul, her sons and daughter-in-law, siblings and especially her grandchildren. I’m sure they will miss their Bubbie very much as she deeply cherished her time with them. Our entire group is diminished by her passing. She was a treasure in our lives and we all are enriched for having known the special lady she was.
Sincerest sympathy,
Bernie Rouse

We started our police career together with Sandy and Paul and had fond memories as we both raised families apart but always with those earlier thoughts in our hearts. Rest in peace Sandy you’ve earned your final peace and will be in our prayers.
