Edith Siegel

Sad to have recently been made aware of Edith’s passing. Worked at the original Island with the family for many years & loved her. She was very kind to me and I’ll never forget her. Very saddened to read in this notice that both Joanne and Jerry had also passed. I still live 3 blocks from the Island and see ALL the faces and remember all that was every time I drive by. Some of my best memories! R.I.P. Edith (Pearl to me)

I have fond memories of Edith and of course my cousin Jerry working at Hot Dog Island. I used to call her Bubby Edith. My condolences to the entire family. May her memory always be for a blessing

I remember Hot Dog Island well. Edith was so proud. I started doing her hair when she lived in Glenview not far from the store. We had great talks. After moving I continued to do her hair. I always did exactly what she wanted. We always had dinner together afterwards or sometimes we would go to China Chef for lunch then come back and do her hair. We reminisced out times and I always answered her repeated questions. I loved my Cousin Edith very much. I’m glad that she’s not suffering any longer. She will be missed! ❤️
