Michelle Sharpe Greenberg was born December 1, 1940 to Raymond and Ruth Sharpe, of blessed memory, in Memphis, Tennessee and lived her childhood in Forrest City, Arkansas where she was a drum majorette. She attended the University of Oklahoma where during her freshman year she met her husband of 64 years, Martin. At Oklahoma, Michelle was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority and remained a Sooners fan for life. Shortly after the birth of their first child, she and Martin moved to Houston, Texas where they lived for 62 years raising their family. Michelle was a life member of Hadassah and an active member of B’nai B’rith Women. She owned a plumbing supply business for over 20 years where she helped many design and outfit their bathrooms and kitchens. Michelle thoroughly enjoyed attending Friday night services at Congregation Beth Yeshurun in Houston and especially enjoyed the dinners after with her friends. Michelle and Martin enjoyed international travel and cruises and she was his biggest fan at his senior softball games. They moved to Northbrook, Illinois in 2023 to be closer to family.

Michelle’s greatest love besides her husband was her family. She and Martin were blessed with three children: Ann (Daniel) Rogers, Sam (Judy) Greenberg and Katherine Bazarsky, of blessed memory. Of all her gifts, Michelle was most proud of being called Bama by her grandchildren: Robin (Rob), Ashley, Reagan, David, Will, Arielle and Leah and her great-grandchildren: Emma and Lainey.

Michelle passed away June 3, 2025, after living the last part of her life with dementia. Even with her progressing disease, she always had a huge smile for her husband and family, especially Emma and Lainey.

The family would like to thank her loving caregivers: Rachel, Zaima, and Samantha.
