I remember meeting you for the first time on May 29, 2018 (our first day at TopBloc). We became close friends immediately. On our first day of work, I had only graduated from MSU about 2.5 weeks prior so at that point in time, I had just moved to the city & was subleasing a studio apartment in Chi for one month. The day after meeting one another, you immediately pulled out your computer & started to help me look for apartments for the remainder of our work day.
From then on, I never considered you as my colleague but rather my friend. For the longest time, we would never go to work outings if the other wasn’t going, we would always try to go to outings together, we would go to each other’s friends’ parties even though we didn’t know them, we would text each other all the time / hang out as much as we could & we would always tell one another that we wouldn’t be able to get through our job without the other.
I will always miss you showing up at my apartment without any notice (especially when you decided to just crash on my couch on a weekday without letting me know you were doing so lol), telling me how short I am, telling me to chill / not be so anxious all the time & of course, telling me that my kitchen lacks spice, sauce & flavor.
Ever since I moved back to Michigan, we haven’t been in contact much but you texted me on your way to a festival here a couple weeks ago. That’s the person you were. Even though it’s been a couple months since we talked to one another, you immediately thought of me.
There is so much more to say but I know you hate my novels so I’ll stop now while I’m ahead 🙂
I miss & love ya so much, Hairy P

Harrison was one of the kindest people I knew. He taught me to see the best in people and brought so many people together. I’ll miss our Friday happy hour food adventures and shared sense of humor. Love you & miss you, Harrison.

HP and I became friends because of our mutual love for house music, concerts, bowling, food videos, and so much more! He was always unapologetically himself and I’m so thankful for all of the amazing memories we had. One of my favorites was definitely celebrating his thirtieth birthday by renting out a beautiful Airbnb with the whole gang in Denver and going to multiple shows at Red Rocks.

Harrison was the purest soul and wanted everyone around him to be happy. He taught me so many things and was there for me through it all. I was just thinking about all those little food missions we went on and how we’d end up at some hole in the wall spot and he would tell me “never judge a book by its cover”. I never admitted it but he was always right, they were the best spots! He was so passionate about it. I loved watching his eyes light up when the food came out . Camera ready, but still excited like a little kid. He’d snap his pictures, take the first bite, and look at me like, “Okay, okay, try this one.” And even when it was something totally weird or way too spicy, we’d laugh and rate it like we were on our own food show. I miss that so much. He brought so much light, laughter, and depth into this world. I’m going to carry that with me and miss him in every second of every minute.

Harrison was a one of a kind person. Showed me how truly valuable friendship can be. Always made everyone around him feel seen, heard, respected and brought a warmth that could never be replaced. He truly left an imprint on my life that I will cherish forever. He raised the bar of what a genuine, good friend should be. I will continue to honor him in the way I care for my people and carry on the joy he brought to all of our lives. Love you, Harrison.

Harrison was the most loving and giving friend, always thinking of everyone else. He made sure to include everyone, always reaching out to invite us to events. He expressed his love through acts of service and gifts. He constantly showed his friends he was thinking of them. He wanted nothing more than a big family dinner that he cooked for all his loved ones. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives.
