Mrs Grad was exceptionally kind and generous. When the sound equipment had once been stolen from NSJC, she contacted me immediately and said she would donate the cost to replace the equipment. She wanted no recognition and just told me to get it done forthwith. She was also a trusted companion of my later mother when they played Bingo on Sunday nights. Rest in Peace and may your memory be for a blessing.

Carol and I lived one block from each other in Humboldt Park. I believe we went to Hebrew School together. We reunited our friendship years later in Buffalo Grove and had dinner often with the group of longtime friends. I talked to her around 6 months ago and she told me she wasn’t well. I lived a few blocks from her in BG and have since moved to Naples, FL I’m sorry to hear to hear of her passing away. May her memory be for a blessing.
