Obituary

Diane Colwyn, nee Zolt, 89.  Beloved mother of Bill (Kim) Colwyn; proud grandmother of Emma, Sam, and Chloe Colwyn and grandpuppies Henry and Scout; caring former spouse of the late Ralph Colwyn; dear daughter of the late Eugene Zolt and Reva Zolt Elfman; cherished sister of the late Arlene “Essie” (the late Howard) Landsman; loving aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Diane was a lover of arts and culture. She was a painter herself, and regularly attended symphony and theater performances. She was a member of the Chicago Botanic Garden and Art Institute of Chicago, and a dedicated volunteer at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. Diane will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. Chapel service Monday, June 9, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
