Eki always greeted me and my family with a warm smile, a caring hug and a juicy kiss. Her warm spirit was a treasure for all who crossed her path. Fond memories of Norm and Eki attending all of our family simchas, and who could forget the best sukkah in the world in their backyard. Rest in peace lovely lady. May her memory be a blessing.

I still remember, as a child in the 1950’s, a wonderful trip we took to Chicago to visit our relatives there. More recently, well perhaps thirty (or more) years ago, I remember meeting Eki and Norman at the Stratford Festival in Canada and being impressed with stories of how quickly Eki could drive there – or anywhere else. My mother, Jean Steiner Chottiner, passed away in October of 2023 at the age of 97. As the last of their generation in our family, she, Eki and Norman always tried to keep in touch as much as possible.

Eki was a warm and wonderful person with a pleasant attitude all the time. She volunteered long after most would have quit. She was involved with family whom she adored. Eki, we will miss you and know you have a lot of lives you have touched and made feel loved and appreciated.
Love, Nancy and Bonnie
