Ronald Kaplan

Ronald “Ron” Kaplan, 76, passed away on February 18, 2025, surrounded by his family. Adored father of Stephanie (Ross) Block, Natalie (Abraham) Michelson, and Michael Kaplan (children with Janice Kaplan). Beloved partner of Sharon Poynter (for over 25 years) and devoted father figure to her son, Brent Poynter. Cherished “GP” of Aidan, Makenzie, Levi and Alexander. Much-loved brother of Jeffrey (Sheila) Kaplan and the late Bonnie (Bernard) Citron. Devoted son of the late Dorothy and Irvin Kaplan. Ron will be sorely missed as an uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. Ron’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Whether helping with homework, attending their activities, bringing over challah on Fridays, or hosting sleepovers featuring his world-famous cheese omelets, he built cherished traditions that will live on. From an early age he was known as “Mr. Fix It”, willing to lend a hand to anyone and everyone in need. His warmth, generosity and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
