Obituary
Miryam didn’t just believe you were never too old to learn; sharing her many passions with her children, granchilden, nieces and nephews. She and her beloved Morris shared a passion for world travel, often taking their family on unforgettable vacations. She was an avid gardener, a skilled seamstress, and always had dinner on the table, making everything from scratch. Above all, she adored her family-and they adored her in return. Miryam’s wisdom, warmth, infectious laugh and spirited love of life will be dearly missed. Memorial donations in her name to Hadassah Chicago North Shore, www.hadassah.org/region/chicago-north-shore would be appreciated. Chapel service, Friday, August 1, 2025; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Miryam was an amazing woman! She was so smart, funny and very practical! I have many fond memories of conversations I had with her. We chatted about our teaching experiences and day to day things that happened in our lives. I would send her a Hanukkah card with a note and she would send me back a Christmas card also with a note about family happenings. She was so proud of her wonderful family. I am humbled to have shared time with her. May she rest in peace.

One of my fondest memories of Miryam is going to their house on an occasional Friday for Seder meal. Sharing that meal, listening to the prayers and trying the different foods, . Miryam would also talk about going and working on a kibbutz that summer. At that time, I didn’t really understand what that meant , but as I grew older, I realized what an adventure that likely was. She was going for the summer by herself, leaving the kids with Uncle Morris. I thought that was really cool! May she rest peacefully now with Morrie and Arye.
