Obituary
Renée was one of the most selfless people, always concerned about the wellbeing of others despite her own challenges. She was always thoughtful, sweet, kind, affectionate and compassionate. Renée attended The University of Michigan and then went on to graduate from the National Teachers College. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher for several years, and then became a devoted mother. After raising her family, Renée was honored with the title of Grandma. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Burt and their friends, visiting art museums, shopping, and going to the theatre. She especially loved keeping up with all of her children and grandchildren’s lives. She never missed a beat and was a trusted source of comfort, kindness, and compassion by all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to support the Parkinson’s Disease Research Fund at Rush University Medical Center. Please send memorial checks made out to “Rush University Medical Center” to Rush Office of Philanthrophy, 28057 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1280 or www.rushgiving.com/reneefield. Beautiful in every way and courageous.throughout, Renée was and will always be a Princess indeed. Her kindness, support, and interest in her wonderful family, as well as that of little brother Mickey and his
family will remain in our hearts.
The love and caring that Renée imparted to her family is equalled by the exceptional love, caring, and devotion of Burt, her children and grandchildren who gave her the gift of such a beautiful life.
Our love and sympathy to Burt and your loving family.

I am my Grammies first born granddaughter. We shared an incredibly deep, special bond and had a beautiful relationship. Some may have called it an unhealthy codependency, but, together Grammie and I just laughed it off. I am completely and utterly shattered. She was the most beautiful, elegant, and kind woman. To me, she was more than a Grammie; she was my best friend. As much as I needed her for unconditional love and acceptance, I recognize the honor I had of bringing life, fun, silliness and playfulness into her life. I will miss her forever and am completely broken.

Renee was always The Princess to my father, her uncle. She and Burt, who I knew years before he met Renee, were always kind and loving to me and my family. She was a truly lovely person and will be missed. To Burt and the family my deepest condolences.
