Obituary

Marvin Fleisher, 93. Beloved husband for 68 years to Helen, nee Shradsky; devoted father of Linda Friedman (Jeff Crell) and Gregg Fleisher (Magen Frasier); cherished “Papa Fieldsie” of Matthew Friedman, Andrew (Michael) Zuckerman, Caitlin Fleisher, Courtney Fleisher, Grant Fleisher, and Zoey Frasier; proud great-grandfather of Jack Zuckerman, Leo and Cora Crell; caring brother of Rita (the late Marvin) Fullett and the late David (Arlen) Fleisher; close cousin of David (Ilona) Kraft; will be missed by extended family and friends. Marvin was a proud Korean War Veteran. He was a huge White Sox fan, a health nut (took 100 vitamins a day!), and loved music (especially Vic Damone and other crooners). He will be remembered as funny, smart, kind, and with an unconditional love for family. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assocation, www.heart.org. Chapel service Friday, July 18, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights. Interment is private. For a link to view the service, shiva, and to leave condolences: www.shalommemorial.org, 847-255-3520.
