Obituary
Linda Zawaski, nee Dorow, beloved wife of the late James. Cherished mother of James “Jay” Jr (Hope) Zawaski and the late Anne Zawaski. Devoted sister to Kay (Tim) Hansen, Michael, Mary (John) Mercier, Marty (Joan), John (Anne), and Rita McGinnis. Loving grandmother of Adelyn Zawaski, and beloved aunt to thirty-one nieces and nephews. Linda, a 1964 graduate of Mercy High School, was a loving and selfless mother, sister, and friend. She loved her time teaching at St. Christina, Queen of Martyrs and St. Linus Catholic Schools. Funeral Mass Thursday, September 10, 10 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9525 Lawndale Ave, Evergreen Park, Illinois. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rush University Medical Center, 1700 W. Van Buren, Suite 250, Chicago, IL 60612 would be appreciated. Linda was a lifelong friend, so pretty and so smart, a great piano player, teacher, and mom, and had a great sense of humor. She loved her kids fiercely, and so enjoyed raising them. She drove a 1957 Chevy back in the 60s which she packed as many friends in as she could, she will be missed by so many. My condolences to Jay and his family on losing his mom. She was so proud of you!
