Obituary

Gail Hoffman born October 11, 1940, of Northbrook, IL passed away peacefully at Alden North Shore on September 14, 2026. Proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Marvin. Survived by her children Rick (Randi) and Steven (Allison) Hoffman along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a beloved sister to Jordan (Buni) Berger and an aunt and great-aunt to many. Gail loved her family, travel, and photography. Funeral service private.

Dear Rick and Steve: Our sincerest condolences to you and your families.

Mom and Dad were truly the most fun (of our Church St. gang) to be around. We traveled and socialized during all of our best years. The memories are both hilarious and heart warming.

Gail and I had been friends since the late 40’s when my family moved to Rogers Park. She lived across the street from me and we attended Sullivan High School together. Oddly enough, our 68-year reunion dinner is taking place this weekend. Rest well my dear friend.
