Ella Arakelov, 78, passed peacefully surrounded by family on May 1st, 2026 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Born on October 5, 1948, in Baku, Azerbaijan, to Ararat Gareginovich Grigorian and Tatyana Stepanovna Antonova, she graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry with a Master’s Degree in Science and worked as an Industrial Designer for the Azerbaijani State Institute for the Design and Planning of Oil Industry Enterprises for many years. She married George Arakelov in 1971. She immigrated from Ukraine to the United States in 1998.

Ella is survived by her husband, George Arakelov, her daughter, Tatyana Vist, and her grandsons, Bryce Vist and Caiden Vist-Prince.
