Dear Fred, Brian, Stacy, and Amanda,
Enid, lovingly known as “The Camp Lady,” was a dear friend and fellow Southsider whose gift for guiding children and families to the perfect camp touched countless lives. She had a rare ability to understand each child’s needs and helped create memories that lasted a lifetime. Beyond that, she was kind, thoughtful, and deeply devoted to others. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered with love.

Our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Enid, she was one beautiful person both inside and out. She helped hundreds of children find that perfect camp., as well helped our fellow Bowenite team put together the perfect reunion this past July. She was a real true Southsider and will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I met Enid because my daughter, Dana, was in the same sorority with Stacey, her daughter. We used to meet here in Chicago to practice our little skits for Mom’s Day in Lawrence, Kansas. We had so much fun! She also helped to find good camp like programs for Dana, such as Tails West and a Welsley program. She was so helpful and “ professional “!
I haven’t seen her for many years, but such a sweetheart!

I grew up in Enid and Fred’s house with their kids. Enid always had a smile on her face, and was one of the happiest people I knew. Even after I grew up, she loved getting updates about me and my family. I remember hearing about how my kids would go over to her house and spend some time there. She will be truly missed.

I’ve been Enid’s hair stylist for 20 years. She was not just a client but a dear friend. We shared recipes, the lastest book we were reading and everything that was going on with our families. I will dearly miss our time together. 💔

Enid was a dear classmate of ours in high school on Chicago’s South side and in college. She was a wonderful lady who was always kind and friendly. She called us when we had the drought and fires here in California to make sure that we were healthy and well! We were so sorry to hear of her passing. We are sending our love and hugs to your family. We hope the happy memories you shared together will help provide strength to all of you!

I have known Enid a very long time:- we were confirmed together and she was the “camp lady “ for my children and grandchildren. She was an integral member of the Bowen reunion committees, always ready to help and always smiling. Her too short life will be fondly remembered. And may her memory be a blessing.

Dear Fred, Brian, Stacy, and Amanda,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved wife/mom, Enid. She was such a special lady. Enid always greeted me with a hug and a smile like a long lost friend. She was the camp lady and picked the best overnight camps for many of us on the North Shore. I owe some of my best summers to Enid. She was also a very dear friend to my parents, who will miss her warmth and friendship very much. My deepest condolences for your loss. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.
Warm regards,
Benn and Amy Feltheimer
