Howard Brenner

I was surprised and saddened to read in the paper just now about Howard’s passing. Had I known a day earlier, I certainly would have attended his funeral to pay my respects. So I greatly appreciate being able to watch the live-streamed service and be able to hear Judy’s beautiful eulogy.

I knew Howard well and knew how much he loved his family. It was an honor to develop a friendship with such a passionate man with an underlying good heart. My condolences to you all.

Howard & I shared many years together enjoying family dinners, vacations, theater, concerts, & mutual friends. He was a wonderful , fun ,companion, who was never at a loss for words. He will be missed. Condolences to the family. May his memory be a blessing. Eleda Brenner

I remember meeting Mr. Brenner around 1961 at Eng.66/Sq. 7 at Fillmore and Francisco during those busy years for the CFD. He added so much to life in so many arenas, and he was a respected icon in the world of the Chicago Fire Department. His memory is a blessing for all who knew him.
