My deepest condolences to Mara and the family. I always loved spending time with Stuart who seemed to have wisdom to impart about everything, in the most matter of fact kind of way. I remember him saying, “I can take a complaint about Chicago weather, but you have to choose one. You can’t complain about the cold in winter, and then the heat in summer. You have to pick.” Stuart was always certain about his opinions, but also always with a laugh. Some years ago he said to me that if I ever needed to talk to someone, or needed some advice, to call him. I had often thought that my cousin WOULD be the best one to talk to, to get some good cracker barrel advice. And I had often thought of calling. But alas, I never did, and miss him now thinking of all the things I would have liked to say; to hear his opinions. Just to hear him laugh. We all grew up together, the cousins Stuart, Bruce, Sheryl, Eileen and Michael and my sister Andi. It’s impossible to think that Stuart is no longer here. Gone way too soon. With so many things left to talk about. He was a great cousin and I loved him.

Dear Mara, Morgan and Jordon ,
I was honored that you asked me to speak at my dear friend’s funeral.
Lois and I have a holes in our hearts because of his too soon passing. We were friends for 43 years. We shared every major event in our lives and Lois and I was looking forward to more mitzvahs to share with him. We went to Cub, and Bulls games and the Bears championship game in 1986. We met our beautiful wives on the same night on March 2, 1986. We shared our love of Chicago spots teams together and the memory of my and Lois’s time with you will always be of blessed memory.
Rest in peace my dear friend.
Your friends for life,

Stuart and I first met as pledges at Tau Delta Phi in September 1967. We hit it off so well that we roomed together the following year. While perhaps not politically correct today, I fondly remember how we shared a common bond falling asleep to many of Bill Cosby‘s classic comedy routines (they’re still funny even if he’s not).
While we managed to stay in touch periodically over the years, it was not nearly enough. Mara, you may not remember, but my wife and I first met you for dinner just about the time you and Stuart got engaged (Stuart showed us Wrigley Field for the first time). I’m also grateful that I got to see Stuart three years ago when I came up for a visit with some of our pledge brothers. His death was a terrible shock to me, but I am so glad that I could call him my friend. I pray that God grants you and the family the serenity to deal with this terrible loss.

We are very, very saddened by Stuart’s passing. Our condolences to Mara, Morgan and Eric, Jordan and Amy and all of the Fox and Feldman Families. Your pain is ours.
Stuart was a very special person – he had an independent way of doing things. We made fun sometimes of how he would organize things – but that was part of his independent character. He also had real interest and concern for others. One special thing I always remember – whenever we got together in Family trips and celebrations – he almost always expressed interest in how things were going in Israel – and more importantly how we were doing as a Family. That concern was very special to us. We are very sorry that he is no longer with us.
With much love to all the Family.

We are so sorry to hear of Stuart’s passing. Our condolences to you, Mara and your extended family. I have many fond memories of Stuart, his brother Michael, parents Marjorie and Leo, aunts, uncles and cousins at our extended family get-togethers. In my mind’s eye, Stuart is just as he was back then, that cousin who was a little bit older than me, fun, clever and engaging. He will be missed.
