Lorraine Chase

As a little boy in Skokie, I recall hours spent with my grandma Hilda and great grandmother Lena Mom and Lena’s sister “Aunt Esther” and her husband Tom as well as “Cousin” Jean Roth and others like Aunt Blanche Kallison. “Cousin” Lorraine would stop by be often. I recall sitting in the audience when Norm played lead in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and later in life Lorraine reached out to me privately and personally by telephone to continue the family tradition of heartfelt loving. I moved away from Chicago but still send her and her family lots of love from a Strongin who was impacted by this loving lady. My grandmother’s first cousin, Lorraine will be missed.

I visited Lorraine while in town for my 50th high school reunion in the summer of 2024. We talked about missing mom and Normie. We recalled some of the things they did together like putting together shows for the grade school, ORT, and more. In a way, talking with her, gave mom’s memory more life. Lorraine checked in with me from time to time and always with a heart in her emails. She was such a wonderful person. She was loved and she will be missed..
