Linda Adelstein Opper passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Linda is survived by her brother, Gil (Harriet) Adelstein; her beloved daughters, Jamie (Jeff) Wilens, Tammy “Sharada” (Jason) Hall, and Heather Geyser; seven cherished grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and joy in her life. She was a beloved aunt and cousin to many.

Linda was deeply committed to helping others. She was actively involved in the resettlement of Soviet Jews, work that reflected her compassion, strong values, and dedication to Judaism, justice and community. She also served as a board member of the VCF Educational Foundation (Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome), where she worked tirelessly to support education, awareness, and families affected by the syndrome.

Linda will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her devotion to her family, and her lifelong commitment to making the world a better place.
