I met Lori when our boys were in pre-school @ The JCC. We had enrolled the boys in gymnastics together so we could sit and chat. Afterward, we would always go for lunch at Wiener Take All. It was a lovely tradition.
My nickname for her was “Dr. Laura”. She always put her kids first. She loved them fiercely, until Gina came – LOL.
Whenever I called her she would answer “hello gorgeous”.
Years ago I had strongly encouraged her to go on the Cooper’s Hawk Paris trip. She constantly thanked me for “pushing” her to go. She was independent and truly enjoyed herself. It was an empowering experience for her to go out of the country not knowing anyone on her trip. She made many friends.
She was brave and extremely courageous from the original diagnosis until the end. She never complained – just said “it is what it is. I will miss her deeply and I cherish the times we spent together.

There’s so much to say and so many memories. She was a second mom to my Jacob. She was always there for him, for me, for everyone. She was a light that brightened your day when you saw her and an even brighter light when you got to spend time with her. The last time that we spent quality time was Jessica’s beautiful wedding I feel so blessed that I got to have this time with her at her best, her happiest. She threw a perfect beautiful baby shower for me when I was going to have Jake. Lori was such an amazing mom everything for her children , anything for her children. The world is a much emptier place without her. We all love you so much Lori until we meet again, my friend.

Lori was my cousin from my mother’s side. When we were younger both our mother’s worked at Neiman Marcus-so I not only loved Lori but also her mom. There were times when we would share holiday dinners together. Over the last 10 years we reconnected. We would talk about our family /family tree, travel, her daughter’s wedding, and things I didn’t know about- like her love of history and how smart she was. Recently we spent a lovely day in Miami before she left on a cruise. I was stunned to hear the news of her passing. She was so kind hearted and will truly be missed.

We made each other laugh on long phone calls. Met in high-school, reconnected on FB.
I’ve been worried about Lori for a while not seeing her or hearing from her on Facebook or messenger. I was planning to give Lori a call to find out how she is and then my medical problems kicked in and I have been in the hospital and had surgery last Tuesday September 15th. I don’t think I’m going to be able to sit up to be able to watch or listen to the service for Lori. So sorry I just will be still in the hospital and I wanted thank you for my loving friend. We made each other laugh on long phone calls. Met in high-school, reconnected on FB.

My sweet Lori, I will always remember your kind, fun, friendship. And of course, how can we both forget our trip to the Elvis concert , front row seat center stage. We had a blast. Thanks for driving! Bless you and your family.
