Myrna Linda Greene, 89, née Golden, beloved wife of Charles Greene, happily married for 67 wonderful years; loving mother of Neil (Lisa), Hal (Jennie) and Jay (Aleza) Greene; cherished Bubbie Myrna of Dany (Farrar Cooper), Sydnie (Prerana Sharma), Benjamin, Samuel and Avi Greene, Deborah (Frederick) Birnbaum and Jonah (Maya) Greene; much loved great-grandmother of Talia; dear sister of the late Alan Golden. Myrna was a treasured aunt, cousin and friend to many. Myrna devoted her adult life to two main causes: 1) Raising a great family; and 2) Being a great teacher. Everybody who knew her would agree that she totally succeeded in both of these endeavors. Our family grew to become 19 people: Chuck and Myrna, three sons, three daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren (plus their four spouses.) They have been a source of great pride and joy over the 67 years of our marriage. And the hundreds of students from Solomon Schecter as well as the dozens of elderly Russian immigrants who she mentored into citizenship are a testament to her incredible teaching skills. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Myrna’s wonderful caregivers Robin Boushie and Eve Long, as well as the lovely people at The Friend Memory Care Center for their tender and devoted care of Myrna.
