Upon learning of Eduardo’s death, we were with Adriana and the immediate family on Saturday in Miami. Unfortunately, we could not attend today’s funeral in Chicago and hug those we missed seeing in Florida, especially Logan and Reese. Eduardo will be remembered fondly and missed dearly. We were not only cousins but friends. We have good memories of rmany reunions and fun encounters. We traveled togehter and never missed a celebration or an occasion to see each other in many places around the country and the world. Although we are from Mexico and from Mendoza, we obviously share many common experiences and cultural characteristics. When we lived in Minnesota (Rochester, training at the Mayo Clinic in neurosurgery), we were not aware of each other’s presence in the USA. It wasn’t until we moved to Connecticut that we established a wonderful and lasting relationship with Eduardo and Adriana. We cared about our common relatives and ancestry. As well described by the rabbi, Eduardo, Z’L, was Moshe ben Michael Bin Nun (Nijensohn). Our name was the last name of Joshua, the successor of Moshe and the conqueror of Canaan. Moshe was the name of our common great-grandfather, born in Latvia who settled in Buenos Aires in 1903 – through Kishinev, Eduardo was the grandson of Moshe’s oldest son Kalman and Daniel the grandson of Moshe’s youngest son, Wolf. Miguel, Eduardo’s father, known in the family as “Miguelito”, was a famous tango conductor, pianist and composer, hence Eduardo’s tango singing. He trained not just as a general diagnostic radiologist, but also in nuclear medicine and neuroradiology,. In addition to his academic and hospital practices, he had an active private practice in Chicago, helped by Adriana, his wife and partner – herself an obstetric by education and training. Eduardo was one of a kind. He had a very strong personality, quick intelligence, and was a great entertainer and raconteur. On many occasionss he was the soul of the party. We wish Adriana and the kids strength and fortitude in this new stage of their lives and hope to continue seeing them and enjoying them together with our children and grandchildren. Goldie and Daniel (Moshe ben Aryeh Bin Nun(Nijensohn).

Eduardo and I ho back to kindergarden. Exactly 50 years ago my wife and I reencountered with him and met Adriana. We have been life brothers and friends for ever. We shared the good and the other in our lifetime. He sang tangos in all our family significant events. He will be missed but his memory will live all our lives.
