Iris Lerner

I was lucky enough to see Iris every Friday. We shared stories about our loved ones, memories from our past, and countless laughs while she sat in my chair as I styled her hair for date nights with her husband, restaurant dates with her family, charity events she helped with, and the many activities she was involved in.
Iris had beautiful, thick hair that grew fast so much of it that I used to tease her that someone must be spinning more for her every night while she slept. That always gave us a good laugh.
My heartfelt condolences go out to her husband, her children and grandchildren, and her sister. I was so sad I wasn’t able to attend her services as I was overseas.

I lived in the same apartment building on Troy street as Iris, her mother Sadie & sister Janis. Every time I saw Iris, she reminded me that she used to babysit for me when we all lived in that building. Janis has been a dear friend …always. I want to extend my sincere sympathy to the family on this loss.

I was cochair with Iris for the day games at our Swel organization and I enjoyed and laughed with her so much when we were at the committee meetings. I will truly miss her really really loved her a lot and thinking of her family and may her memory be a blessed memory.
