Obituary

Charlotte J. Migdow, 99, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, surrounded by her four children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and devoted caregiver-exactly as she would have wanted. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Albert for 64 wonderful years; loving mother of Andi (Michael) Srulovitz, Laura (the late Greg) Purse, Janet (the late Dave) Corzine Migdow, and Jonathan (Barbara) Migdow; cherished grandmother of Jeff (Alisa) Srulovitz, Lisa Carl, Jenni (Mike) Evitts, Becky Purse, Josh Purse, Elizabeth Corzine Migdow, Kimberly Burrell, and Brian (Michelle) Migdow; treasured great grandmother of Noah, Orly, Eli, Owen, Olivia, Hannah, Jacob, Emma, Phoenix, Logan, Leo, Zoe, Aiden and Maddie; much-loved sister of Marshal Pekin and the late Sheldon Pekin, and was preceded in death by her adored parents, Sam and Fanny Pekin. Charlotte was deeply loved by a large network of extended family and friends, including her two additional primary caregivers. She brought love, laughter, and wisdom into all the lives she touched and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.com or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www.stjude.org. Chapel service Friday, January 16, 2026; 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
