Gene was a great friend to my family, especially to my father and me. He was a mentor and great scrap metal executive. He always looked out for me and my Dad and am forever grateful for his friendship . On behalf of my dad ,mom, me and my entire family wishing deepest condolences to the family. Am happy that I am able to attend his service today.

Gene has been a long time friend of my families Spanning 50 years . He’s been both a friend , a mentor and someone who took the time to listen and sit with me after my Father passed away a very long time ago and offer advice or help me sort various situations out .
He was always active with the Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities almost from the beginning some 56 years ago .
He will be deeply missed .
Thoughts and prayers go out to Stacy and his family .

Gene once told me, “Suzanne, everything is negotiable, remember that.” I always keep that advice in mind and will always remember him. He was truly a great man!

So many memories of Gene over the past 50+ years. Gene was bright especially in math. His nature was optimistic and always willing to help others. He loved sports and was a decent athlete also. His word was his bond and his wife Stacy and sons were his stars.
We both had roots on the south side of Chicago and the home of the White Sox. I never had an argument in all those years. I was fortunate to refer to him as my friend, consultant, and a real mensch.
Rest well my friend I will treasure some great memories always. Love you Gene. Peace.

A true friend , business partner and confidant. A person who was there for me and helped me help myself. It was true pleasure to work with him a share many laughs and life’s trials and tribulations. He will be missed.
