My relationship with Rochelle was forged long distance as she lived through the demise of her beloved husband. Usually, the kin connection thrived between my husband Mickey and her husband. Neal. When the first cousins lost their direct communication, Rochelle and I continued family talk. We conversed about our respective family’s welfare , special events and milestones. The content of our calls turned to ourselves as we became super seniors, though Rochelle did not like speaking truth to power about her own health or woes. With the second presidency of Trump, our communication became decidedly political, revisiting events of the day and their violation of our humanist beliefs. The memorial speeches by the Weir siblings captured Rochelle’s very essence and accomplishments. I thank them for those tributes.

Rochelle was the sweetest, most loving, generous person. We volunteered SO many times together, I cannot count! We had a loving respectful friendship for many years. I loved her so!!!! She was always looking for ways to help and created so many opportunities for others to share in her volunteering. I will miss her dearly and NEVER forget her. I miss her.

Rochelle always could write such beautiful, (sometimes lengthy) messages in cards or notes to everyone. She included family and friends, both longtime and new or someone she just met. They all were a part of her life. Each of these hand written words came from the heart and conveyed kindness, thoughtfulness, wisdom and love.
Rochelle was a most generous person with her most precious gift…..the gift of her time.
My deepest sympathy to Scott and Jill and Sheri and Sydney. May her memory be for blessing.

Rochelle was my oldest living friend. We went to elementary school together. We went to Hebrew school together. We reconnected later in life. We would go to her beloved temple on high holidays together. There was no kinder, selfless loving person in the world than Rochelle. She had a tough life, but she devoted herself to people less fortunate. She was one of a kind we will miss her rest in peace Rochelle Mickey and I both love you.
