Obituary
Allen Michael Ende, 77, beloved husband of Susan Ende, née Bjorgaard, happily married for 51 wonderful years; loving brother of Marlene (Edward IV) Wood, David (Kathleen Murphy) Ende, and Larry Ende; brother-in-law of Dale (Lucy Driskell) Bjorgaard, Sandra (David) Anderson, and the late Dennis (Ginger Head) Bjorgaard, treasured uncle of many nieces and nephews. Allen was a wonderful cousin and friend to many. Allen and his wife traveled the world together, loving the mountains and nature. He was an avid fan of the blues, jazz and the Grateful Dead. His greatest enjoyment was following Duke University’s basketball team during Coach K’s years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Allen’s honor to a favorite animal charity of your choice. Chapel service Friday, February 20, 2026, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
