Bonnie S. Vold (nee Rubin), 83, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Gerald for 50 wonderful years; loving mother of Debbie (Dan) Levinthal and Scott Vold; cherished Nana of Isabella, Payton, JJ, Gavin and Dominick; adored daughter of the late Sidney and Adeline; much loved sister of Ronald (Charlotte) Rubin, Sandi (Donald) Schwartz and the late Sheila Cohen; dear brother in-law of the late Bob Elkin and the late Herb Cohen; treasured aunt, great-aunt and friend of many. Bonnie met her beloved Jerry in Chicago, and shortly thereafter, they first made their home in Skokie and then Park Ridge before moving to Buffalo Grove and eventually Long Grove. Bonnie worked as a homemaker and a typist before running a kitchen remodeling business with Jerry. She later worked for a kitchen materials supplier, continuing well into her 70’s. Bonnie had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She treasured time spent with siblings, friends, enjoyed going to the movies and loved dining at her favorite restaurants. Above all, Bonnie’s greatest joy was her family, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren and children of her nieces and nephews. Bonnie will be remembered for her warmth, laughter and deep devotion to those she loved. She will be dearly missed.
