Dr Goldberg is one of those rare humans who have so generously given of herself and her time. I worked with Dr Goldberg for over 7 years at Evanston Hospital – she was the consummate professional with her patients, her physician colleagues, and all of us nurses. Dr Goldberg also kindly wrote a reference for me when I got my first job after midwifery school. Dr Goldberg, you will be missed. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Zichrata livracha.

Gail and I worked together at Lake Forest Hospital. She was pleasant, hardworking, kind, and wonderful to everyone that came in contact with her. She was a great doctor, but had an awful black cloud. If it was going to be crazy busy, or just the craziest things would come in, they were always on her shift. She dealt with it all with grace, compassion, and an extraordinary amount of attention to detail. She was a pleasure to work with and this world has lost an extraordinary human being. May her light shine on in everyone she touched and help. God rest her soul!

Dr . Goldberg was an amazing doctor, colleague and friend. During a personally difficult time Dr Goldberg was the doctor I reached out to for help. She continued to check in on me over the years and when I had my first daughter she was so happy for me and happy to meet her. It was a genuine pleasure to work with her and know her. She will be missed deeply by all those who had the pleasure to call her a friend.

Gail was one of the kindest and most caring, supportive and generous people I have known. She was also very intelligent, and very funny, and I have many wonderful memories of her from our challenging 4 years of residency together, as well as of our our encounters after residency. I know how much she wanted to be a mother and how happy she has been to have fulfilled that goal in her life. Although her time with her children has been cut unfairly short, I know without a doubt that they will be truly good people for having her as a mother, just as she was. I will miss Gail dearly.

Gail and I were OB Hospitalists at Northwest Community Hospital. We had so much fun at change of shift often talking and laughing for an hour or more. I will miss Gail’s great smile and her kindness. She was a great doctor and will be missed by many.

Not only a colleague, a kind and thoughtful person I could call my friend.

Gail & I were fortunate to have a mini reunion, where I met Michell and Alyssa and Gail met my husband and daughter. I’m very grateful we were able to spend time together. And our friendship remained the same, regardless of the time that had passed. You can truly see the joy on both of our faces. I’m grateful for Gail’s friendship beyond any words I can express.

Gail and I met in 2nd grade and became very close friends. We had a lot of sleepovers, attended each other’s birthday parties, Gail’s Bat Mitzvah, and so forth.
Gail (since childhood) always said she wanted to, specifically, be an “obstetrician gynecologist”, which was quite impressive to hear at a such young age. I know she was an amazing doctor and caregiver, loving mother, sister, friend, and daughter.
I cannot say enough about Gail.
May her memory be a blessing.
