Obituary

Pearl B Potter JD nee Baer, 99, wife of the late Guy D Potter III, MD, for over 50 years; dear sister of the late Helen (the late Harold) Karbin. Aunt Chickie had an amazing intellect. Pearl earned her JD from the University of Chicago after Herzl Junior College. She authored the first by-laws for the Head and Neck Section of the Radiological Society. She argued and won two cases before the US Supreme Court. She and her husband spent most of their lives in NYC, loving art museums, theatres, and restaurants. They traveled the world together, sometimes bringing home delicate gifts on her lap. Her last years following the Covid outbreak were back in her hometown reconnecting with her sister. Her many nieces and nephews all over the country all attest to the positive impact she had on their lives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blood Cancer United, bloodcancerunited.org. Graveside service, Friday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
