Les sent these photos in of Family to be highlighted in the Chicago Tribune April 16, 2000. One of the biggest funniest surprises on a Sunday morning having my coffee and reading the Tribune with my husband Kevin. I was pregnant with our 1st born, Tommy. Michael came 5 years later! Thanks for bringing joy, fun, smarts, and humor to us Les! Beatrice O’Donnell (Levine)

Les, I have Many wonderful memories of seeing the Eisenberg Extended Family at the annual Hanukkah Parties hosted by your Mom and Dad, Auntie Anne and Uncle Irving. Other fond memories include seeing you perform Shakespeare in the Park, Oak Park and bumping into to you at the NBC Towers when I worked downtown Chicago. You always made me laugh, you were so smart and funny. Lastly, when I was reading the Chicago Tribune Sunday, April 16th, 2000 with my Family, I was thrilled to see the Chicago Tribune Magazine with pictures of our Alta Bubbe, my Dad Joel H. Levine M.D., Auntie Noreen, the eldest Jordan Shapiro cousin on the West Side of Chicago. Your Mom in the 1920’s. And other treasured Family members. Love, Beatrice D. (Levine) O’Donnell

Les lived across the street and was the dear twin brother of our next door neighbor Bruce. He took care of outdoor (?feral ) cats, feeding them and canvassing the neighborhood if they didn’t show up for a meal. The kitties will be all alone now. Les will be missed!

I always managed to sit at the same table with Les at all of our reunions over the years. He always made everyone laugh and enjoy his company. He will be missed.
