I have some of my best memories of Judy growing up, especially during the holidays in Highland Park. She was always there at the dining room table, just as if she were part of our family. She was such a caring and loving person, and she will be deeply missed. I feel so grateful to have those special memories with her.

It is hard for us to say good-bye to someone like Judy, whose children, particularly son Aaron—who grew up and remained in contact with our son, Jason, even though Aaron resides now with his family in Japan—connected us with her so many, many years ago, and for whom she was more than an invited guest to our home for various occasions with which we all celebrated (one of which is reflected in the attached photo, with her in the upper right). But she lived a life well served and respected, despite the occasional ups and downs as we have all experienced. Her life on terra firma was”wealthy” if for no other reason than as reflected in a warm and rich legacy spirited by her children, again Jennifer and Aaron, but also her daughter-in-law/Aaron’s wife, Yuki (sp?) and of course their beautiful child and her grandchild, Kayla (also sp?), and those so, so many she befriended and who called her a colleague and friend both while teaching at New Trier and where she worshipped and also taught at North Shore Congregation Israel in Glencoe, Illinois. While one of us did have the opportunity to see her in what turned out to be a short time before she left us, it is both of our memories of her over the decades that will sustain us in knowing we were honored to be within her long time circle of friends. May you RIP dear Judy as your place in our consciousness will continue and of course live on….
