Eva Ritt (née London), 93, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late David for 58 wonderful years; loving mother of Simon (Jan Collins) Ritt, Linda (Stuart) Kupfer, and Michael (Jennie) Ritt; cherished “Savta” of Avi (Conner McMains) Kupfer, Noam and Liora Kupfer, and Matthew, Joseph, Summer, and Blaze Ritt; much-loved sister of Ruth DiStefano and the late Edgar (Toni) London; treasured aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. Eva was born in Germany and relocated with her family to Baltimore, Maryland, in 1940. She married her beloved David in 1956, and together they built a beautiful family while living in several places, including Canada, before settling in Florida in their later years. Eva worked for many years as a nurse before taking time away from her career to raise her adored family. After raising her children, she served as an administrator at the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida for more than 20 years. She was deeply proud of her Jewish heritage and took great pride in sharing it with others. Eva will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center, www.ilholocaustmuseum.org or the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org.
